E-Dog

How is it that this dog will eat anything? Including paint chips. He's so cute, but darn it, he is not the smartest. Sounds like the effects will not be long term. Carl seems to be missing him more than me :) It is weird not having either of them around. Maddie is fine she had very low levels... quite frankly it was probably from her just licking Emmitt. She likes to make sure he stays clean. I'm probably going to go to the Drs. office this weekend and get tested just to be safe. Doc Doug felt that would be smart as did the nurse at my doctor's office. Could be why I'm not getting rid of this cold... or it's the stress this move has given me. :)

Life Update

So I was told by my husband that I needed to type up an update so my family can know what's going on with me. I started my new job at Community and Family Resources last Monday and have been running every since. Usually they give people 6 weeks to 3 months to get acclimated and learn job skills but they are throwing me right in because I have so much knowledge and experience. I teach my first class on Friday in Ft. Dodge with 3rd and 4th graders. I will primarily work in Hamilton, Humboldt and Hardin counties and the other 2 staff I work with in this department will collaborate with me on some projects, so I'll get to work in other counties as well. Friday's will be the day I work in Ft. Dodge at the primary office with the grant writer.

I have a wonderful office with a huge window facing west. Lots of storage space and book shelves. In the prevention department we also have our own cell phones so I have thoroughly enjoyed my new Droid... as have Mike, my mom and Carl. :)

I really really love my new job and I'm super excited to get Mike moved here and the house sold so we can settle down! The dogs are adjusting to the farm life. The first day they ran around like maniacs! They've calmed down a bit and continue to test my mom and Carl with boundaries. Emmitt especially. And they have found some very interesting things to eat so they haven't been eating their food. Maddie had the worst breath ever last night... I had to give her a breath mint bone to chew on. And that really didn't help. I was just happy that she didn't roll in whatever she ate first! Uffda!

Well, I better get back to work. Lots to get done this afternoon! :)
