Christmas Morning
Mike and I were able to spend Christmas at home with our dogs this year. Unfortunately the weather is what controlled that decision. We spent the wee hours of the morning letting the dogs open their gifts from Santa first. They each received a stuffed animal that made cow and ape noises. They fought most the morning about who would get which one. One of my co-workers made homemade treats for all the dog owners and they also got some heavy duty chew bones. Santa was very generous! Looks like Mike also hit the jackpot with his plaid outfit! Ended up being a very nice family Christmas safe at home.
The Gift
My husband came up with a creative way to give me my gift this year. I was quite impressed. It only took me 15 minutes to open. Check it out:

Where's Emmitt?
Snowy Weather
Today is a sad day... NOT! Mike and I are snowed in. This is not good for our facility but I have 2 people that were able to make it in. Mike and I were out at 5am scooping hoping that I could go in, but I don't think it's safe. I will stay until I'm able to go safely. :) Enjoy the view at 5am! Our neighbors have a flat roof and they were out last night and again this morning at 4 shoveling it off. We now have blizzard conditions and are in a warning until midnight. I think I'll stay put.

Long Time
I know... it's been a very long time since I've blogged. Things have been super busy in the Walters' household. Mike and I have been out exploring the area greenhouses as well as some new towns. This past weekend we went to Delavan, WI, near Janesville. It is a very cute town and one we will probably go to again soon. Sounds like it's a happening place during the summer months. We went there because they have the closest Lowe's! We discovered that we like it better than other home stores. Here are some beautiful flowers for everyone to enjoy while you wait for yours to spring up from the ground in a few weeks! We've also started to plan our garden! What an exciting time!! All the wonderful seed catalogues. Who can read them all and decide what they should get? Why do we have to choose? Can't we have them all!? We'll keep you posted as we start our seeds.
